New ESB Helmet paint list needed

Greetings to all in cyber space,

I am attempting to paint a Boba Fett helmet from ESB and am hoping someone has a list of paints that can be used that are made in the US.

As I have scanned through the threads on this site, I have found some great lists but Humbrol, the main brand that seems to be suggested, is a British company. That makes it very hard to find in the United States. It also makes it near impossible to find similar colors since no company uses the same name or number to identify the same shade of a color. For example, Humbrol's "caboose" may be called "rosey red" by Valspar or "whispering rash" by Testers.

Having seen so many great Fetts on this site, I have no doubt someone has run into this before. Rather than make the same mistakes and having to redo something, I thought I would simply ask the pros first.:)

Thanks in advance for any help.

Search humbrol USA and you get their main vendor. Another H name I don't recall at the moment. I order everything through them, and I love the humbrol paints. Takes about 5 days for the ground shipping, so make sure you order enough thinner and paints the first time!

I did that because all the other threads that use floquil and other brands seem to have trouble with discontinuing brands or colors. Humbrol is fresh and up to date. Makes it easy! I am using Jayvees threads for the helmet, and doing a little experimenting on the armor!

Great info,
All of your advice was spot on. I got the paint I needed. Now, I'm going to try to get some of it actually on the helmet instead of my hands, clothes, table, dog, etc.

Thanks for the help,
Dave C.
