Need help on 1997 Don Post Boba Fett Helmet

I saw this a few months back, whether its a resource for someone getting the helmet screen accurate I'm not sure but it could help:

The Ultimate Boba Fett Costume

also here's a picture for reference I found on TK409.

Probably a good idea to get these two sites vetted by some senior members before making any alterations to the helmet.

Here was my '96 Don Post I bought years ago from Mrgr8ness here on TDH. He painted it and installed a Bobamaker visor in it. A while after I got it, I swapped out the fat Don Post ear cap with a slim one from Fettpride, and also put in Fettpride's ROTJ rangefinder (as pictured)....

Are the '96 DP wider/bigger than the '97?

Here's a photo of the one I just purchased. Hope you can give me some insights where to start (first time modder).

The 95/96 is wider, more stable, and MUCH more accurate. The difference a year can make is amazing.

My .02: Don't. The 97 is very cake-like, and I've truthfully (not saying there isn't one) never seen a build that came out approvable with one. You're going to save yourself money, time, effort, and stress by just buying a bucket from a fan made maker :)

Unfortunately, this is all I can afford right now. And I know it's gonna be a challenge, but I'm willing to commit on improving it, at least.

I'm no expert but it looks like the dome needs to be rounded, the helmet needs to be pulled out (bottom widened) and the bottom needs to be trimmed at least an inch.

I have an idea of how wide it is, please tell me it's wide enough.

Any idea how I can widen it?
I am also thinking of doing the rangefinder LED. Unfortunately, mrgr8ness' schemtics is no longer posted.

The helmet seems to be leaning on the left side causing the helmet not to be properly aligned.

Here's a solution I can think of.

During the installation of the new visor, aligning the gaps properly will be done by making the distance of the brow and corners 1 and 2 parallel.
