Looks good mate, i'd love to have one in my helm when I get it and it looks like youve nailed the circuit. Lets see it in that lovely FP rf then:D

i wouldnt even bother using a holder i would use some velcro to hold the battery in place and have connectors taped to the battery less used space

What's going on under that glue?

I'm working on a new rangefinder circuit using a micro controller, to make things more compact.

But the guts of your circuit are tiny!

i think smaller than mine ist not possible :)
i completed it today and make pics of the ready one later

here is a video at night, but the qualitiy is not so good because it is only with my handy cam made.

i decide not to use a battery holder and to make it like Fett 4 Real says, the holder takes to much space.
if you built it in you can paint it black( like the stones :-D ) so you didn´t see the wires and so through the rf window.

i hope you understand my english :)

i have brazed the wires to the battery as you see,its perfectly.the small black thing is the angle sensor.now i paint it all black,so you don´t see it behind the window.

Gday mate - just recieved my leds today, many thanks. My only issue is how to actually get them to work. thought I would post here incase anyone else has had the same issues.. I have included a picture - As im not very tech savvy, i'm not actually sure what to connect what to where, and i'm not actually sure what the green leds are for, for my rangefinder. I have bought a mini 12V battery, but if i attach the two loose wires to it, nothing seems to happen. Any instructions or advice would be hugely appreciated :)

many thanks

Pic - led kit exactly as I recieved it:

The green leds should go near the clear perspex lens block (altough the Supertrooper Dressing sheet says 2 red and 3 white lamps - LEDs). The actual perspex lens block(s) has 3 indentation on the flat side and the light should light through them.
I presume that you tried the wires both ways with the battery, I mean white wire on + and brown on - and then the white on - and brown on +. If this doesn't work, then it might be an interrupted wire or a short circuit.
