These are a few picture of my helmet in progress (nearly finished :) ) any comments would be appreciated, especially reguarding the back of the helmet. I'm not going for 100% accuracy just some where near.

I think you matched the colors pretty Well..that red needs to be darker, try a black wash over it.

cheers. I think I'm going to have trouble fitting the visors as i can't seem to get it to sit flush. Oh and by the way the helmet is a "Mystery helmet" i bought off ebay about a year ago from a guy called slave1props or something like that.

well, you got 1 of 3 options:

1. You could get the faceshield, and its flexible and is alot easier to install and is about 7 dollars w/o shipping online.

2. You can take a dremel or razor blade, and trim down the inside where the visor will sit so it will be more flush.

3. Put the acrylic in the oven at about 250* and let it get soft and flexible again, then when it is flemsy, pull it out, and place it inside over the visor area, and hold it so it cools and hardens and forms to the visor more flush.**

**Now by doing that, while the acrylic is soft, it is prone to scratch very easily. so if you dont feel comfortable trying it you might not want to, unless you have access to getting some more acrylic.**

great job there, nice to see a fett helmet from the UK for a change, in my MSH the visor doesnt sit flush, as i think this is how it is on the real deal, it also allows a little more ventilation too. For the visor either hot glue it in, or use the industrial double sided tape then you can remove the visor if you are not happy with the fit, I think someone even used velcro for this too

what do the brits use to clear coat their helmets?? I've seen a clear sealer by plasti-kote is that any good? I thought i'd seal my helmet before i put the visor in then i wouldn't have to mask it off. Any idea's
