Hey Joshsurf,

Great thread man! I am also looking into doing a mod over on one of these hasbro helmets. I had a few quick questions for you, I was wondering if you did any mods to the RF side of the helmet, or any mods to the RF itself to allow it to come down over your visor. Also what hardware store did you get your visor from? And how long did the cheeks end up being that you re-did with sintra?
It looks amazing!!! Thanks a million for the thread!!

Great work man , love this thread, perfect illustration on how imaginative and creative fett lovers can be, in the back of my mind i always knew
someone would make this idea work.

Hey steamboat sorry been off here for a bit! I modded the RF by drilling an extra hole in the front and moving the second led that sits in the eye piece into the hole. I kept the leads intact so it would still light up. I cut into the bit where the RF stalk connects to the ear so it would rotate down at a more right angle and more infront of the visor. I built up an eyepiece for the RF topper from plastic.

The cheeks ended up being too long but thats due to me being a bit loose with my measurements. I cut them down after advice from. Armydad. Visor was ordered from some hardware store in Oz.

Thanks guys i had to go with the best i had at the time and being on the bottom of the world it incredibly expensive shipping parts. So im just making my own! In the process of scratch builing armour and jetpack out of sintra now.

With visor just need borden bitty and im done!

So glad I found this thread. Started modifying my Hasbro helmet this morning. You are right- lots of hidden screws, but with patience, I had it apart in no time. Egon asked about those covers on the screws on the earpieces- I took a utility knife and (very carefully) pressed into into the screw cover, making an "X" cut. Then I took a little screwdriver, shoved it into the "X" and with a twisting motion, got the covers to pop out. (did that make any sense?) I guess u could just use a small drill bit to drill into them as well.

Joshsurf- I'm curious what you used for your visor?
