minor touch-ups needed, then clear coats ... many, many thin coats of clear finish.
I really hope the Dark Green Visors from RJSafety will work with these paintjobs.
If not I found a great Ebay store (via Mando Mercs) that sells mirrored Gold and Silver window Tint.

Great work. This will help so much with my cardboard bucket (started last night). I'm building a 94% version for my son. Hope it turns out 94% as good as yours! Your tutorial will be invaluable in the coming days/weeks.

Thank You Vod! :D

I'm usually Forum mongering all day and most of the night.

One bit of advice for Everyone:
I have yelled "I ruined this Bucket...it's shebla RUINED" probably at least once every single day I worked on them. And this is what I ended up with... So keep the Faith Vode. Take a Breath or a day/night off and You will find a solution to your disaster of the moment.

swung by another Lowe's tonite on the way home and picked up a mouse sander! ;D
that and had a good rummage through their specialty bins and this is what i came up with for Visor Installation:

planning on using two at the sides, two on the inside corner of the T and two near the bottom edge.
I have high hopes for the Neoprene washers, they should prevent the face shield from cracking in case i tighten the screws to much.

Hey, I saw that gold/black Paint job and I'm flipping out. It's awesome! Mind if I "borrow" That paint layout for my bucket?

Not exactly... but the visor outline is what impressed me. I've been looking for cool ideas that spike my interest for awhile and that was one piece I would love to incorporate.

Plus, exact copies are boring.

Don't worry haha. It's chrome silver with black and the only thing i really want that around the visor paint. It's pretty sweet.

quick text update:
the blue bucket is done for the time being.
trimmed the dome supports out as they aren't needed anymore.
added custom fitted foam inserts to the dome and rear arc.
Visor is fully removable and held tight and secure with 12 neoprene washers on the T-post nuts.
the finish has been weathered.

only things left are to re-cut the keyholes (resin and paint ran in and dried) ,
add some rub'n'buff to the larger areas of exposed "metal" and subsequent weathering, final black wash and mat clear coating.
oh and i'm still looking for cheap fabric to cover the foam padding.

the Black Bucket is in the same stage as the Blue with the sole exception of the Visor.
The last T-post is giving me problems... too much tension on the visor keeps it popping off.

next time I'll glue in the T-posts onto the bare cardboard then resin over them.

pictures sometime beginning of next week.

I’m using this template and I can’t figure it out, I looked at your pictures but I still just don’t get it. Do you know if there are any videos?
