    My first bucket.

Hey every one its been a while since I posted anything. Been really busy. I just got married and that took a little of my time, but I'm happy. I finally got my bucket pretty well finished so I thought I'd post a couple pics. I don't have any pics with the range finder on it as I just got the stalk from the machine shop and haven't taken any pics of it yet. I did put electronics in it though. The paint isn't screen accurate but I'm happy with it. Let me know what you think. But please, don't be too brutal... It is my first attempt.

Hey, thats nice . What colour did you use for the back of the bucket?

i really do like it, even if it is not completely screen accurate. Its funny but there is so much emphasis on getting things completely right, it almost takes the fun out of it. This bucket has that thrown around the galaxy look. Well done.

That looks great! Can we see inside? Sometimes the insides are just as fascinating as the outside of these buckets...for me anyways

Here are some pics of the inside. I didn't do anything special really. No rubber coatings or liner, just smoothed out the rough fiberglass and added a servo and some cooling/defogging fans.

As I stated earlier I put in a servo but I also put LED's in the RF. I am going to post a video of the working RF here www.geocities.com/t_bone9600. Jus follow the links. But here are some pics of the RF with one from inside the helmet.

Your range finder is wicked fast. Who's helmet is this? you did a great job. How bout some wiring diagrams or whatever you need to get a servo like that to work? I'd like to hook something like that up in my new helmet.

The color I used for the back is Krylon, Hunter Green. I should have answered this question sooner, sorry. I will work on getting some pics of exactly what I used for the servo and then fill you in on what I did.

OK all. I had some requests for wiring diagrams, etc. So I made a little tutorial. You can use the short cut herehttp://www.geocities.com/t_bone9600/tutorial.html. Or you can just go the long way through my website. I hope it helps. If I left anything out let me know.

    Re: My first bucket.

Finally, I just finished off the circuit board in the back. I bought an extremely good quality casting off of EBay. That should do it for the helmet. Here is a pic.

I just got my jet pack in the mail so it looks like I'm off to the jet pack board.
