    Aug 27, 2007, 7:41 PM - My Fett ROTJ Paint job #1

As requested by BOUNTYONE, Laan and SUPERJEDI, here are some pics of my BM helmet. I purchased this helmet from TDH but was not happy with the killstripes, and the "gloss" of the finish. The painted stripes weren't weathered enough for my taste, and the clear coat finish was very glossy, and non-metallic looking. I began making the stripes using vinyl(which I sell here on TDH), and I decided to have the helmet re-painted. I actually settled on a custom air brush studio in the suburbs of Philadelphia, after seeing them appear on the shows "American Choppers" and "Extreme Home Makeover". It's about 45 mins from my house, so I made the trip and dropped off my helmet. Needless to say, I was VERY happy with their work and i'd like to give others the same opportunity that I had with them. Just PM me if you're interested, and i'll pass the info on to you.
OK, enough BS. Here's the pics:

Very nice work there ... that looks GREAT! Gotta question for you: you have quite a bit rigged to the inside of that bucket. Is that the remote controlled servo from Hyperdyne Labs? It sure looks like it.

Looks nice! Unfortunately, I'm not nearly as familiar with the ROTJ scheme as I am with ESB. :o
Any chance of some pics in natural light with no flash? It seems that the flash is killing some of the subtlety of the weathering.
And yeah. . . wow, you have a lot of stuff inside that bucket!
I can see 2 CPU fans, an RF servo, 3 9v batteries. . . and what is that big white slab next to the keyslot area?? Is that something to do with the servo?

Is it hard for those fans to draw air in and circulate setting that close to the body of the helmet?
If you can share more about what is going on inside your helmet. The craftsmanship looks great.
