    Aug 7, 2014, 9:56 AM - MSH? Identifying an older bucket... #1

Ive never been big into buckets, but Ive had this bucket for about 10 years. Not sure where it came from. It's fiberglass. From previous thread discussions it seems like it's an old marrow sun. So, any help identifying woyld be great.
Also, if it is a Marrow Sun, does anyone still cast these? Click image for larger version.

    Thx F4R,
I have 3 of these. I'd really like to know what they are and if there's any real value to them before I custom paint them up and sell them off.
If anyone else can weigh in, please do.

Honestly, with how soft the dent is, the fact that the ear is molded into the side of the helmet, makes it alot less desirable now. If it were me Id paint em up for myself maybe rework the dent also.

That's the idea. I purchased one of bghunter/jinto's old helmet mold about a month ago. It's larger than this lid. Too large for the lady merc im painting for. So I had these floating around and plan to rework it for her merc bucket. Still, being that it's 10 years old or so... I wanted to see if this was anything that could be desirable before I do a rework on it.

And again, anyone with info on this bucket dont be afraid to drop your 2 cents.

The slightly crooked turn signals on the front of the dome were something that appeared on the MS helmets as well as the Sgt. Fang.
Hard to say for sure, though.
Do you have a side view you could show?

    Thanks superjedi,
Thats what I had thought too, after reading old threads and knowing that there were crooked turn signals on the MS & Sgt Fang.
I'll snap a few pics in a couple hours. Standby.

Yup, it's an MS1 (or possibly an MS2). I checked against some pics I have of an MS1 I did years ago,
and the features are a match.
    1) Crooked turn signals.
    2) Curved corners of the "upper" cheeks. (The MS3 was resculpted to have squared off corners.)
    3) The upswept angle of that little extension behind the ear platforms.

My pics are from 2007 and they're pretty lo-res, so posting them wouldn't do a whole lot of good, I'm afraid.
But it sure looks like you have yourself a Marrow Sun v.1.

Could it possibly be a Skygunbro? His were a Mystery Helmet variation like the MS1 only were a little smaller. The only reason I ask is because his came with that yellowish gel coat. The helmets I got from Jordy all had white gel coat.

Possible. Although I didn't realize that Jason also offered a version of the Mystery bucket.
They were so similar looking, at least the MS/Fang helmets. But I think the 2 Fangs I've
worked on were just done in resin. Dunno, it's been quite a while.
