MS1 lid on Ebay

What's the verdict on this one? Any Advise? Looking for a bucket.

hey just wanted to say. i got one of those buckets off ebay ,not a bad cast job better than i have seen on ebay before, looks like he used a smooth flow casting. i put it up next to my ms1 and looks dam close to the same thing, again it all about what you are lookin for

Yeah it is best to stay away from Ebay items or so I like to call ebay the "devil" it takes your money and gives you poor stuff in return

I asked the dude straight up if it was a recast. he came back and said plainly .."no".

I then asked him," If it's a MS1 and you say it's not a recast, how is it you have so many on eBay and have sold a few before also".

And he came back with this:
"This helmet is not a don post. my son has one of them aweful looking thing and wanted another so he printed out a pepakura file and folded the helment.
After that,I glassed it and used that as a base for my scuplt.
Using chavant nsp clay,it allowed me to mold and produce them.

What People will say to take your money lol I would not trust him better to spend the cash and get a real quality bucket that a $69.99 fake

there is no way that cast came from a paper folded helmet...no way!!

unfortunately I did jump on it and a headache is right.knowledge is power and I had neither but I guess I do now.

Got one not bad but the material will warp if left in the sun

The side with the range finder is sunk in and looks bad You will have to work on it to look rite

Would make a good mando helmet with some work or give it to your kids to play with

I picked up one off of Ebay myself from another seller and I have to agree, stay away from ebay for helmets. This is my first Mando helm and it is no where near movie accurate. It's good for a custom Mando set up and thats about it. the pull was bad and I'm having to do alot of sanding and bondo work just to make it look good.
Oh well lesson learned, next helm will be researched properly.

Yeah, unfortunatly hit and miss with ebay.
I got a helmet last year and it was very rough.
These don't look too bad..
