Has this helmet been created from a digital scan off a real helmet?
If so, I believe that the purists will not be satisfied with the end result. Though it may be fairly accurate in it's overall shape, the limitations of the digital scanning would be enough for me to not consider it completely accurate. Same goes with any digitally scanned item.
Nothing would replace a straight up silicone casting off the real deal.
BTW, what is the big deal about being able to do this anyway? If you have the license to make replica helmets, is LFL that stingy about allowing a direct casting to be taken? There are a handful of fett helmets still in the archives, some of which were never used on screen. The risk of damaging ONE of them would be minimal if you handled the casting correctly.
Same goes with the numerous vader and trooper helmets.
I'd love to hear an answer to this by someone directly involved.

I am by no means a Fett expert, but the MR helmet does look pretty good! I do have a question though...did the actual helmet have such a dull looking paint job?
Barring any unforseen problems with MR, this helmet will ROCK!!
