A new paintjob thread from me to show the process of painting the TF Helmet in ESB style for my dear friend Florian aka BH-2647.
BTW: There is another new paintjob thread of me on here for CaptainSolo´s FP Premium. Painting this one ESB style too. So there will be two threads to keep updated!
Lets start here:
BEFORE:
And now the fun begins!
STEP1: Silver
STEP2: Dark Grey
This layer of dark grey needs some rubbing with wirewhool to clean up the paint chips. Next will be the lighter grey on the mandibles and trim. ;-)
STEP3: Light grey on mandibles and trim
It´s always a pleasure to see the complete scratched mandibles in addition to the dark grey before.
STEP4: Beige on the backpanels
Photos taken with flash. The **** flash misleads the colors. But you get the idea.
STEP5: Purple on the mandibles
The first of two layers for the mandibles: purple. Only little fragments of it will be seen when the final red is on.
STEP6: Red on the mandibles / Green on the backpanels
The red is sprayed on and the green is on the backpanels now. The flash lets look the dark grey in some strange way, I will take another shot tomorrow in daylight.
Just the dome and lower cheeks in green and the upper cheeks in black and the basic colors are ready.
More tomorrow!
Best,
Manuel
