How much for a stormtroopers helmet?
How much for a stormtroopers helmet?
Sir you are incredable ! Very nice job... If you aren't working for some kind of prop company, you are wasting you talents. Do you work for Ilm or something? Any way very nice :eek Oh and I would be intrested in buying your Vader Mcquarrie helmet from you if you do decide to sell some . And thanks for shareing your progress photos. :jango and :zam
The Fett is looking sweet, if the price is right, then I'll be very interested in getting one of them from you, m'man.
WOW!! Just breathtaking- I am interestested as well. Great job!
Wow:eek that is so cool. What did you make the helmet out of, is that clay?
Yeah the original sculpt you see here is clay. I wil make a mold of the clay sculpt and pull a hard copy out of fiberglass. This first copy will be further refined and then a master mold will be made of the final helmet.
Mold material showed up last week so once I start feeling better Im hoping to get cracking on this again.
How's this project coming along Jason?
Any progress on this? I was looking a tmy McQ figure last night and got to wondering how this was coming along.
Fan-tas-tic!! Yeah, I know that's not a hyphenated word. :lol
Still EXTREMELY interested in getting one of these! Glad to see this project hasn't fallen by the wayside.
Nice video of progress.....:cheers
Good work :thumbsup
Looking awesome. I know it's a little off topic but, weren't you working on some Family Guy Blue Harvest Figures? I can't find the thread now.

roar!! ^ he stole my name!!! ;). thats one cool looking helmet. got a real sedistick look about it.
Outstanding! I hope you are planning on making some more of these.
and seriously, thats one intense helmet. i can't wait to see it finished (although i doubt any non-hardcore SW fan would know what it is...you'll be hearing a lot of "you did it wrong...no the antenna faces the other way...";))
and as for Chewie...considering you were only 3 hours in on the project, he doesn't look completely terrifying.
Awesome work Jason!:thumbsup;)
Keeps looking better and better!
I'm in the middle of a move right now, so I don't have access to a lot of my reference, but does this concept helmet really have the Borden connector? I just never noticed on any of the drawings. Very cool detail. :)
DUDE That is AWESOME!
If you make these into a run, I would consider buying one... depending on funds at the time of course... xD
-Naas (is excited! )
The back Im going off the Hasbro figure which was basically made up by the sculptors at Hasbro I have a buddy who actually worked on some of the MQ Hasbro figures.
Thats one thing about this particular one I liked that some things would have to left to me to make up.And because there is no picture of the right side who is to say the borden connector isnt there. :albino
I think it's a nice touch... just my 2p obviously! :lol
Wow Jason, you are truly amazing!
I think some of the existing features will be a nice touch. It might help some folks who aren't familiar with this concept design to know what/who it is supposed to be.
I really like the helmet in post 118. Great Work !
This is the first time I read this thread and DROOL.........:wacko Amazing, it is looking amazing. Def want...make that need!! Take care and keep up that work, those things are an art piece of beauty! Cheers!:cheers
Beautiful!!! Must get one of these! I've always loved the McQuarrie White Fetts from the days of the "Art of ESB" book when it first came out. Got my White Fett costume and would love to add one of these to my collection!
Look'n good ner vod.
hmmmm.....Yeah who knows if the original drawing was flipped or not.Who is to say it wasnt then the above is lol.Well because Its based off the pic above and the action figure Ill go with it.But thanks for your insight.

Man, I want this helmet so bad! I've always loved this version of the Fett ever since I saw pics in the Art Of The Empire Strikes Back as a kid!
Thanks for the compliment folks It was a fun project..took forever but was fun.:albino
I wanted to see how one of these awesome babies would look painted up movie style, so I used a generic art program and this is what I came up with....
Not meaning to hijack your thread, just thought someone else might have thought of this.
Looks very cool! I was actually considering painting mine up ESB style when I get it.
I'll have to put some thought into it. ;)
