FINISHED? Malone Fett ESB conversion and paint up!

Here is an exciting project I have recently started, a marvelous Malone Fett, to be tweaked to fit the ESB helmet and painted to match the screen used helmet at the time of filming, something I have not attempted before. There will be loads of test strips and new colours to get right, I love a challenge! Here are a couple of shots of where I am so far, tweaked a few details and added a screen accurate visor set up. The visor in the pics is a scrap piece and will be replaced with a custom made item towards the end...

I want one of those. I'm hoping there are some available in the future.

um yea...sub-freakin-scribed lol I LOve your paint ups man!..and this one will be awesome on that great helmet. I love the ESB "during filming" paint scheme and am looking forward to how you do it!

Slow progress so far but I started on the all important test strips. I have taken the standard Humbrol green I use and pushed it slightly in two directions: towards blue and towards brown to compare the results one of the test strips is the standard colour, photos taken in natural light... Next will be an image with the various weathering colours added...

Does it looks more like this? Not perfect but not so much blue filter on the image... (Note the image has been rotated 180º)

Forget the picture.

LOL! Then forget about it! I played with colours so the blue was not on the picture and the background looked white :p

I have no PS skills, that's the truth :p

About the colours, the left one looks to be the best for me. Anyway, I'll wait and see it weathered ;)

PS: Left if opened, bottom if not.
