Making a dent

Hi everyone. I've got another question for all those scratchbuilders out there. After a few setbacks, I'm making some progress on my costume. At this point, I'm ready to put "THE dent" in my Boba bucket.

My helmet is primarily an old baseball batting helmet, For Sale signs and pink concrete, I mean Bondo.

Any advice on how to do it, Dremel, drill, blowtorch, jackhammer, etc :)?

Also approximate size, especially depth, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks everyone.

I think you'll have better control with a dremel. Seems to me there is a template for the dent somewhere in the forums. I may have even saved it for my own reference. I don't recall off hand exactly where I got it though, sorry.

Hi, i have just started my scratchbuilding and tried to use a heatgun to form the dent, i have a batting helmet base, and the problem i got when heating the helmet was that the helmet itself bended when i tried to form the dent using a metal rod. The batting helmet material tends to move back into it's original form, so i think i will cut out the dent area and maybe use epoxy filler and dremel that into the form of the dent.
Just my thoughts thou...:facepalm

P.S. found the dent blueprint or what you call it.
