Liquid Latex Help

Hi everyone!
I wanted to get opinions on the liquid latex you all use and how well it works. I got this bottle at my hobby shop that I absolutely hate. In order for it to come off nice, you have to glob it up and layer your latex. If I try doing thin layers, its a real pain to get off without scratching the armor, and thats if it doesn't do a little damage to the paint job. I need a better mask! O.O Any and all help is appreciated!

Humbrol maskol is the only thing I've ever used and it's brilliant...I'm sure there are others, but I reckon this is the Daddy !!

I've used Winsor & Newton art masking fluid for years.
There's a recent thread somewhere that I can't locate right now that compares different types of liquid masks. Maybe in the Boba Fett Costume forum? But there was some great info.

Thanks for the help guys! I completely forgot about that thread! I'll probably go with the Windsor&Newton due to price and the larger amount, and its also easier through amazon. But Humbrol is my second choice for sure! Hopefully W&N pulls through for me!

Also, I have some trouble with my application tools/techniques. In the spirit of accuracy, what works for you all? I usually just use the smallest brush i can get, but sometimes that just doesn't do it. Any suggestions for application would be great!

From what I have gathered, it is probably in your best interest to stay away from brushes unless you plan on buying new ones frequently.

Look into Microbrushes. They're cheap and disposable, and the "superfine" size works great for applying liquid mask
to really small areas.

I use rubber coulour shapers in various sizes.....that way you dont have the brush cleaning issues, also as its rubber you can cut it down as fine as you like.
