kid helmet size?

How young is the kid? My 11 year old just has a Rubies that I "fixed" and it works really well. If he is younger you should ask Cruzer or Fettdad and they should be able to help.

In theory, couldn't you print the WoF templates out at 50% or 75% their original size so they would be smaller?

You could just print out the pages that create the diameter of the dome first, to test and make sure it will be the right size for him, rather than printing out all the templates and it turning out to be to big/small.

I'm in the process of making helmets for my 6- and 4-year-olds. I'd be happy to share what I know if you're interested.

kbjork, what info can you pass along about your kid's helmet build? I started building my 7 and 3 year olds boba helmets and they turned out to way too small. Maybe a toddler could wear them.

Print out your WoF templates @ 80-85% and they should trun out fine. ;)

This helmet was scaled @ 85%, and although it fits a tad on the larger size on my son ( 5yrs old at the time of this picture ), it looks fine and gives them a couple of years before it becomes too small for them to wear.

Jango72... you made that bucket for your kid?!?! MAN IT LOOKS AWESOME!!! What did you make it with? I gotta' get ready to make 3 of 'em, 1 for me (of course) 1 for the boss (wife) and 1 for the 8yr old... the 4yr old twins can wait a while ;-) Did you use the WOF templates?
