jedi.paramedic's FPH ESB Build-up.
Re: jedi.paramedic's FPH ESB Build-up.
Now I'm getting excited. Thanks so much for the help.
Re: jedi.paramedic's FPH ESB Build-up.
No problem! I'm going to let the helmet cure a few days with the Aluminum paint on it, that way there won't be any marks left from masking tape when it comes to painting many layers of the helmet.
Re: jedi.paramedic's FPH ESB Build-up.
Back Panels masked with "Winsor & Newton Art Masking Fluid" and they were painted with Floquil "Reefer Grey" paint. The liquid mask was removed to show the Testors "Aluminum" paint below.
The next step will be to remask over the silver areas, and then to mask the grey areas so the back panels can be painted with Floquil "Concrete."

Re: jedi.paramedic's FPH ESB Build-up.
The back panels of the helmet are now completed. They will receive a protective matte finish and I will start on the Dome and Lower Cheeks next.

Yep, it's also easier that way to see the work you've done, that way you know where to mask the next layers.
Re: jedi.paramedic's FPH ESB Build-up.
Great work as always Andy.

Re: jedi.paramedic's FPH ESB Build-up.
Buddy, this looks incredible.... now I understand how the layered technique of painting is done....(well kind of)...
You should create a youtube video for us non-painters so that we can see how it's done in real-time.... A master class of Fett painting...
Outstanding work.....
BTW, what colour paints are you using? Is it the rustoleum brand and if so, which ones to be exact as now we can get this brand in the UK....
thx
Re: jedi.paramedic's FPH ESB Build-up.
