A small non update, update :

Obviously I've been delayed in showing off the ear connections and hardware for this. It's been a busy couple of weeks, as always lol But it is still yet to come.

I do however feel the need to address something while I'm here though. And this is very important.

In the last week or so, Efx Collectibles has recently announced their ESB Hero Legend helmet. If you aren't aware of this yet, there are two active threads currently running right now that I encourage you to read.

In my first posting, although I didn't go into an in depth backstory about the FPH2's origins, I did try to make it clear that it is NOT an ESB hero casting. At the time of my posting, Efx had not yet announced their ESB Hero Legend yet, therefore I could not say Efx Hero Helmet.

Since then, speculation has spread like wildfire from forum to forum (thanks to a carefully started rumor on another forum) that the FPH2 is a direct copy of the Efx ESB Hero Legend.

I am officially, and and strenuously stating today, that it is NOT. Let the record reflect.
I would have updated my first post long before now but didn't realize how much of a problem this had already become.

Taking this a step further. It is rumored that because of a long term relationship with the board owner Art Andrews (whom you may now know is at least partially to thank for the Efx ESB Hero Legend being brought to the masses) that I was given a copy of the Efx ESB Hero Legend to recast. This is an accusation completely without weight or warrant. And crosses the line. This couldn't reflect more poorly on myself, but even more, Art Andrews, who was a part of the Efx project. Let it be clear as crystal, that this couldn't be more untrue. And I would very much appreciate these suggestions/accusations to be discontinued immediately. It very much puts me in a VERY bad position with the licensee too.

It is still my wish not to discuss the FPH2 origins publicly. And I won't be baited into doing so. This is for my own protection and I would ask that you continue to respect my wishes. But the vast majority of members that have posted in this thread, and many others well know that I will openly discuss it in private. Because I already have. And have never once even implied that the FPH2 has any correlation / connection / origin to the Efx ESB Hero Legend helmet. In fact, quite to the contrary.

The Efx ESB Legend helmet, is a once in a lifetime opportunity for everyone who loves Fett. Including myself. I will own one one day, just like any one of you. It will be proudly displayed in my home just as it will be with any one of you (and no it won't be recast lol). So, revel in it. It is an amazing thing. What I contribute to the community is a very different animal. And the two should not be compared. Let's not detract from such a cool thing with so much drama that has been raging behind the scenes.

Some will ask themselves, after all I've written here, if I'm posting this of my own accord. The answer is a resounding YES. Lets not confuse or connect these two helmets anymore. It shows very little respect toward the licensee especially.

Thanks for reading !

Chris

You will always have our support Chris, we know your work and we love it, we are pretty sure that the FPH2 its a pice of art.

Man, it`s really fascinating and in some kínd of way terrifying too, to realise how some peope out there doggedly try to establish a connection between things. Even if they are treading a path of untruths by doing so. I guess this hobby isn`t fun all the time for sure, especially when you are one of the top contributors to the community.

It takes two hands to clap. But whereas you started off not clapping at all, the other side decided to do the clapping for you, and this really pisses me off in light of the fact that I try to consider both sides of the story and endeavor, to be unbiased and not take political sides, and to give everyone a chance - and yet this kind of proactive politicking happens. It's just disgusting.

KUDOs to you for taking the high ground.

BTW, being given an eFX ESB Hero Legend to recast makes no sense because that is, in effect, eFX giving their product away into the fandom for free.

Mac, the actions we saw at Comic Con and online are one of the saddest final straws of a (thankfully) dying breed I have every witnessed. In their death throws, they clawed out at the most outrageous and impossible of notions in an effort to take others down with them. Fortunately, Bryan from eFX is no idiot and saw it for exactly what it was and those individuals are now clearly and forever marked by all who know about this by their willingness to go to any length, no matter how morally repugnant, to try to discredit others.

With that being said and with Chris having made his statement on this matter, I don't want to derail his helmet thread due to the silliness of outsiders.
