By the way, The 48th Ronin is the pre-iminent white Fett we have been wondering about...he e-mailed me and he has been on leave from being a white Fett. He has great knowledge and is a great costumer. Those pics were from 7 years ago. Wow! Let's all give this "newbie" <- HAHAHAHA a welcome...back!

I actually had his pics in my resource folder of images on my computer and he was a contributing factor (and also meeting Ralph McQuarrie in Person) in my goal to make my White Mando. Ronin e-mailed me, a very nice fellow. We must encourage him to "get back into the scene."

Hey guys!

Ya know, I've been aware of TDH's existence, but I never really stuck my head in here much, until a few days ago - as I told John, as far as the whole costuming thing goes, I've kinda' moved on... you know - got interested in other things and went in a different direction...

Anyway, here I am again - the timing couldn't have been more fortuitous... and bizarre. I actually followed a link from another forum to the thread on Marrow Sun's new Fett helmet. I poked around a little and saw this thread, and of course seeing McQuarrie's name really piqued my curiosity (since his work is what inspired me to do my costume, obviously). I've always thought it would be cool to do a helmet exactly like the pre-production painting, so this is very exciting.

So has Marrow Sun ever tried his hand at a Stormtrooper helmet? I've always wanted a McQuarrie pre-production Stormtrooper too!

Even cooler... a white helmet with a red inverted triangle just above the eye slit, resting nicely on your head, my head, GEO's head, anyone else who wants to be a part of this' movement's ...head(s).

Sorry John Actually, speaking about the eye slit, I've been meaning to inquire about that first pic of MS's helmet... I know those are in-progress shots, but that isn't how the visor is going to be, is it - just a slit and not a T visor?

If you look close, the bottom portion of the T-Visor is being held in place.
The final product will have a T-Visor area.

Thats just a spacer while I work on the helmet. When I cast up the rough helmet to start really tweaking I'll get cut out and replaced. I'm working on it today so there should be some progress picks by the weekend. Heres an old pic I had sent to John as an example. I still need to narrow up the visor area.

You see....McQuarrie's ideas are always changed. As I said before, Lucas is a changer, that is why they call him "whiskers"...anyway, this helmet is much more evil looking. GL Probably toned it down so that when Vader had his inevitable "redemption" back to Anakin, you could pity him...but I still have a hard time believing that this whole plotline was in his head when he made SW4-ANH.

Keep checking back over next couple of days. Something is coming. I have seen it, but I am holding off until I get the final revised images of the Bucket.

I didn't want John to show these because there so rough looking, this is the WIP helmet that I spray bombed and put a visor in. The helmet is in really rough form and needs a ton of cleanup and modifing still. I just wanted to give John a brief look into the future.
