Interest thread: Cold Cast/ Carbon hollow stalk

Hello all, i've been experimenting with my hollow stalks and have found a carbon hollow tube that will take two wires inside. This tube is stiff and much stronger than the alu. tubes i've preveously been using. The tube runs down to an internally threaded sleeve which has a hollow bolt to hold everything in place, allowing the wires to enter inside the helmet. The cold cast stalk can be buffed/polished to a fairly bright alu. finish. Please post here if interested and i'll start a list below. These will cost £18.50/$37.00 shipped. Cheers, TF...

Those look absolutely great ! What are the measurements ??

hi, measurements are: centre of pivot to underside of RF: 160mm, tab into RF: 9mm, pivot diameter: 10.5mm, stalk width: 9.5mm, stalk thickness: 6.5mm, width of top when in RF: 34mm...

Thanks a lot fettler !! Those measurements are almost perfect to fit my helmet, too. But it sounds like your stalk has overall the same stalk width, or is your stalk tapered? Your stalk is so good, I would like one, too!

Guys you really want to jump on these asap. TF has the neatest and most organized set up for a range finder stalk that I've ever seen.

Hey guys, to convert mm into inches all you need to do is divide the mm by 25.4

EX : 160 mm / 25.4 = 6.2992 inches

Forgot to let you know I got mine. Great work!

Mine came in today and it is great! I also got a RF top with mine and TF sent a borden for free! (just the borden was free not the RF). I think these were some of the best packed parts I have ever gotten. I know it sounds like a small thing to be excited about but I was really happy to see how well the parts were packed. Thanks a ton TF!

On a side note what is the best way to polish these up to make them shinier?

I used "Mothers" Mag and Aluminum wheel polish. The parts turned black just like a rim so don't get all freaked by that. Once you wipe on the black residue.....OHHHH BABYYY :drool.

And yes, VERY well packed (free borden here to :)).
