    Installed visor question

I finally got my visor installed last night. Out of everything I've done on the helmet, that caused me the most pain. Anyway, its bolted in as most have done so it can be removed. I reget that I don't have any pictures yet but here's my question: when the visor is in should it fit tightly up against the inside of the helmet - ie the brow area and the mandibles? Looking at it from the outside, there is a small gap between the actual helmet and the visor. If I tighten the screws I'm afraid the helmet may crack from too much tension - its a fiberglass BM. I personally dont mind the gap. I'm just curious as to what everyone else does in this situation. This is my first attempt so theres a lot I don't yet.

If you tighten the screws, it may crack the visor
    or worse...
Snap the bolts off of the helmet

I have no gap around my visor, but
a gap will help keep your lens from fogging & provide a little ventilation

    so...
    Leave it be

I ended up with a bit of a gap as well.

S1P... how did you manage to not have any gap? I would love to see the instalation and any tips/tricks you have.

    mad skillz homey, mad skillz

actually, I spent a ton of time sanding & bondoing the visor area so it was nearly perfect.
I had the visor I wanted to use on hand while doing this, so I could check the progress
then, my screws (9 of them ) are countersunk through the front of the helmet (then bondoed over) so the heads do not create a gap either.
I use a welding visor (2 actually) so it's pretty flexible

Well obviously, we know you have mad skillz!!!

I thought about the same thing. I was seriously getting upset with the screws and thought... why not just go through the front darn it????

O well.. next time. I'm going to still make some adjustments, so perhaps I can get it a little tighter.
