Just to be sure you know, the Ridell mini-helmet you have in the pic is not accurate in color or damage. I just want to make sure you don't use it as a refrence to paint your new helmet. Good luck, and have fun.

Wow did everyone just get their orders? I got a full set of armor plus jet-pack a couple of days ago.:lol The helmet looks fantastic by the way.
The BM stuff looks awesome!!
Being a noob I cant tell if its 100% accurate, but when I've compared to the films and pics it looks pretty spot on!!!
I'm currently saving for a ROTJ bucket painted by BM.
No painting/modelling experience myself tho' so I haven't got the stones to paint it myself!!! :lol
Keep us posted on the paintjob Dark Amon, I'm sure it'll look awesome when its finished!!! :cheers

I ordered a BobaMaker helmet myself. I decided from all the info I received in the helmet vs helmet thread to get the BobaMaker one. Some had heard of a member that was going to start making a new helmet, but I couldn't wait. I neither have the stones to paint it myself, so BobaMaker is taking care of that for me too. Have to be able to troop with my kids at Halloween this coming Oct.

in this view the color was more brown than reality , in reality it was more red.
The color is tamiya color spray lacquer "red brown" (number 1)
before i paint this color i used humbrol "maskol" for protect the metal bright
i remove the liquid mask and after i paint one of another color of this part of the helmet.

Thats looking good :thumbsup nice damage effect. Looks like you are using the same colour red as myself.
Bobamaker does make a quality helmet

mojo, the detail template it's a good base for paint job but it's difficult to copy exactly it with brush and the liquid mask ! but if you dont have the true helmet next it, you dont see it's not very same....Quote:

well if you see the film and you push break on your DVD reader you can see boba fett with différent helmet (little difference) in the same film and on the same action.

you can't see the true color because the numerical photomaker but in reality the color was more "pastel" and more next to the original helmet

I've been here on TDH for some time now and I must say, the skill level keeps getting better and better. Boba Fett costuming has come a long way due to this website and artists like Dark Amon.
