I just started a fett helmet.I am making the entire thing out of cardboard and it looks great, but I was wondering if anyone here knew of a a epoxy, resin etc, that I could coat the whole helmet in to harden it up.I would like to avoid fiberglass if possible,THANKS!

The resin that I used is made by Bondo. It says Fiberglass Resin but there is no Glass in the resin. It is a two part epoxy type material. I used it to strengthen my gauntlets and jet pack. You should be able to easily find this at Wal-Mart, Lowes or Home Depot. You don't have to use the glass but you can if you want to increase the strength of the helmet. You can easily brush this resin on and it will soak into the cardboard. Depending on the type of cardboard you use you will want to apply several layers. I would recommend sanding each layer and cleaning off any resin dust before application of each layer. Good luck with your build.
