You can use fine grit sandpaper on it. If it is really rough you can start with a 300grit and work your way up. I did the same thing on my Aluminum RF and it came out nicely!

Though the parts are baby smooth:thumbsup, would some sort of polish be good?

Hit them with the 1000 Grit Polishing Steel Wool & then further polish them with up with "Mother's" Aluminum Mag & Wheel Polish! :thumbsup :thumbsup
