    Hollow RF - 1st Run **NOW TAKING PAYMENT**

    AT last, this is it guys! I have finished sculpting and casting a HOLLOW RF that I promised a while ago. It's a sturdy, lightweight resin with a removable lid. The lid locks into position making an almost airtight seal, it can be removed in the same way as the DP ones, by inserting the edge of a craft knife blade an levering it off.

    This resin can be drilled and sanded easily, so you can now install your flashing LED's, no problem.

    Although the one pictured is finished in grey primer, the ones for sale will be supplied unpainted, white resin ready to paint. Any filling and sanding will be done by me (hardly any, they are really smooth).

    I am looking for about 10 people to commit then I will knock them out within a week.

    Any questions... just ask!

    Revised COST if I get 10 interested buyers =
    UK = £12.50 + £2.00 shipping
    USA = $23.00 + $4.00 Shipping

    That is for ESB. ROTJ is missing the section on the bottom, NOT ESB.

    but Lynn, it looks unlike the one that Natty cast up for the ESB/Msh. It looks exactly like the DP's......now I'm confused. I thought the bottom most square was supposed to be a recessed area. Time for me to go check the Boba CD

    EDIT: Just checked...it's hard to reallly tell on the AoSW pics if it is recessed. I was going on the MSH rangefinders' accuracy. It is clear however that bobamakers' is indeed leaning towards ESB and definitely not ROTJ

    Yup, Bobamakers is ESB..
    ESB has square on the bottom.

    ROTJ does not have the sqaure on the bottom.

    Just a note for the people who are wanting CLEAR ones. When I cast these RFs I get a few small air bubbles along the top edge where the lid fits, which I fill with epoxy filler and sand to a smooth finish, no trouble,

    When I cast the clear ones I will have to do the same, in effect, this means that there will be a few spots of filler that aren't transparent along the top edge. For the ROTJ guys out there this shouldn't matter because this portion gets painted black anyway.

    Just thought I best explain before I take any money.

    I will show a picture in the next couple of days anyway when I do my first test one using clear resin.

    Re: Hollow RF - 1st Run **NOW GOT ENOUGH NAMES""

    Guys....I am currently casting a clear RF as promised, it's been in the mold for 18 hours and has still not fully cured! These will take longer to cast than the normal resin ones i'm afraid, so here's what I'll do:

    1. When it has cured I will remove from the mold, photograph and show you all a pic, then I will start to cast all the resin RFs first, this should take a couple of days. Then I will ask for payment for these.

    2. I will then cast all the clear ones and ask for payment as each one is complete, in the order that is listed above.

    Hope this makes sense, thanks for your patience.

    Try adding a little more hardener. It shouldn't take that long for clear resin to harden.

    What clear resin are you using? I bought some a while back from a plastics supplier and I don't recall it taking 24 hours to set up. I'll see if I can get some info. Also, are you just making the ESB version or ROTJ. I coulddn't remember?

    These are ESB. The resin is now dry (2 1/2 days later) I will be popping it out of the mold tonight and publishing a pic here tomorrow. Not sure what the actual name is of the resin, will have a look tonight.

    thanks anyway

    OK, just to update all the clear RF orders. I am not happy with the result from the test one, it takes far too long to cure and holds lots of little air bubbles. I have just ordered some polyurethane based clear resin that cures in 90 mins, should be here tomorrow. This will disperese bubbles a lot better and also will not yellow over time.

    I will be casting the clear RFs this weekend. I will keep you informed.

    Thanks for your patience.

    The ROTJ is the clear one, actually, only a small part of it is clear, the rest will be painted Black. I use RTV Silicone Rubber.

    I no longer make the clear version, they are very difficult to produce using clear resin. I am currently searching for a better clear resin product, If I have any luck I will continue with these.

    The offer is no longer available, this was an introductory offer for a new product, sorry guys.
