hello everyone. im new on this site. im fixing to start a boba fett related armor project. its not neccesarely going to be boba, but thats the model im building the armor around. ive already printed out some templates on the armor. but i am lost on the helmet. im gonna make my own so any hints and tips are greatly appreciated. thanks(y)

One thing ill say is when using the WOF templates,,
The mandibles and the side burns and the brow line (all the red parts ). On the templates they come all cut up and in sections as to fit on A4 paper , I have found when using them if you make all the red area out of one continuous peice, you get much better results. And join with one join behind the left ear or even undert the ear as to hide the join away completly ,
I use 10ltr 4ltr and 15ltr plastic paint pots when making my WOF lids and found that becouse the curve is all ready in the paint pots they work really well

thanks. ive allready made the stomach, chest, coller and shoulder pieces for the armor. so if i can get the helmet started tomorrow it would be good. also what have you guys used for the visor???

In the past i used tinted perspex sheet it was like 1m by 1m so i got a few out of it but i had to heat it up to get it the right shape, ive also used clear acrylic that i put window tint over it the acrliyc was flexible so it was easyer to fit but not as good result, how ever id sugest cheeking out Tvisor . com as making your own can be a big hassel with less than pleasing results, but most of us use dark green No.5 weilders face sheild that we cut out our selfstends to be a more acurat colour for boba ,
Also if you use theWOFtemplates if you do buy a pre made visor make sure to get the large size as the mid size will be to small

ok i no what your thinking. im a noob to this site, but what is wizardofflight? if its possible could you give me a link straight to the templates?

sorry man, from what you said earlier, i thought you already had templates in hand for making the helmet. i was a little confused why you were asking for something you already had.

i just went back and looked, they are not stickied any more. so i searched the members for wof and then searched his threads and there i found it. http://www.thedentedhelmet.com/f23/boba-fett-helmet-blueprints-templates-10497/

thanks guys. ill look. i picked up the material im going to make the helmet out of yesterday. im using that newsboard stuff that antman used. also i have painted the shoulder pieces of my armor and they sort of bubbled up. so i took some sand paper to them an some of the paint chipped off. it looks pretty cool. i no its not to movie standards but it looks really cool, kind of like personal battle damage.

if i knew how to post pics on this thread i would show yall the armor. any help would be appreciated.

saint nasty- thanks for the link

i was under the impression that the templates were designed for 8.5 x 11 paper. so you should be able to just print them at 100 and it would work. i've never used the helmet, but that's what i did for the gauntlets.

i also think most people try to adjust the templates to be sized correctly to their own body. so you may want to go up or down a bit depending on your size.

100% on A4 is right but scale down the width of the ears the right ear set up should ve the width of what the left ear on the templatesis and the left ear should be 4ml thiner than the right ,
if that make sense it is worth doing this i made 6 lids with the templates b4 i tryed it,

ok i need help. my printer is printing the templates out way too small. and i cant get it to change the size of the print. HELP

hello,

unfortunately i don't think anyone's going to be able to help you troubleshoot your printer :(

unless someone happens to know the exact hardware / software you're using, that's tough.

hopefully i'll be wrong and someone can assist.

well at the bottom of the first post of the wof template thread there are 3 links. one to the come, one to the rangefinder, and one for the a4 paper. the actual link for the 8.5x11 paper isnt there. could you help me out withn that
