I'am after tips on how to produce the intricate details created when painting
my helmet using the layering style. I have all the stencils and printed off other
tips regarding how to trace on the areas needed for painting... its just how to
create the fine sharp small details??? I know masking is the key to create the layers
needed its how to create such sharp lined "scratches and marks" with just a
brush and masking liquid?

Please help the novice of all novices

for scratches i use an x-acto knife. just don't go too deep with it, you don't want to be digging into the actual resin.

I would MAKE SURE that they are scaled to YOUR helmet some are smaller than others and vice versa...the "stencils" are not one size fits all they need to be scaled to the helmet...just a heads up on that. As for the lines masking fluid works great for it but i dunno about topical application of the damage....I like the actual layer application
