Helmet stands?

Okay, simple question: where can I get a nice stand for my helmet? Like a table-top stand...

I've seen some pretty spiffy ones around here over the years...

Well,

I use kitchen towel stands, especially the steel/alum ones...pad it at the top with a styrofoam ball and boom there it is. :)

I'll try to get some pics later. Hope that helps...;)

Tim.

The pics, as promised.

Good luck and I hope this helps!

Temporary stand: I went to my basement, glued a hunk of styrofoam to a thin, square piece of wood as the base and it's working just fine, especially for messy painting.

I got a wooden towel rack from Target for about 7 bucks, painted it flat black, then weathered it to (kind of) match with my helmet.

lol yeah...
'Blue-Peter' is a kids show over here presented by adults and they show kids how to make all kinds of stuff from everyday houshold items... my daughter loves it and playing with the PVA glue! :facepalm

Just a suggestion but if you want to go for a proper helmet stand then head over to www.sdsprops.com, for those of you who aren't aware it's the prop maker who made all the original stormtrooper helmets and armour for the films. You can purchase fantastic helmet stands from there and they come with a metal plate that can be engraved, really adds the finishing touch to all your hard work. I intend to get one for myself once I've finished my bucket!!! If you're on a budget then kitchen towel holders are ideal, genius idea!
