The Helmet Sizing Thread

Much needed Thread to help out people with helmet sizing. Spent a good amount of time digging through the forums for helmet comparisons and didn't find a thread dedicated to it so I thought I'd start one to help the community. Most are labeled but there is plenty of information here to help you identify most of the helmets available. Hope it helps out a little on making your decision on a helmet. Wish I could make the pictures bigger but don't know how. Details and measurements are welcome. Please contribute your knowledge and pictures!

Helmet sizes in order descending biggest to smallest (if any are wrong please let me know)

MLC = MLCallanta
MSH2 = Movie Size Helmet ver2
MSH = Movie Size Helmet
FPH = Fett Pride Helmet

MR Proto = Masters Replica Prototype

Here's some info I posted in Darth Voorhees' thread.

The height was taken with the helmet sitting on a flat surface, and is measured to the top of the dome.
The width does not include the ears.
The depth is from the back of the helmet to the outer surface of the visor.

Forgive me for going to this old thread but I'd never seen it before. I'd always heard that there was a considerable size disparity between the MR (and the derivatives) and the screen used helmet; that the MR was bigger by some degree (I've heard 5% bigger way up to 13%) but looking at these and the excellent shot including the FP MR next to the GMH (which as I understand it has a direct lineage to the original molds) they're actually pretty much the same size with very little noticable difference?

Marrow sun 3 is for sure larger then the GMH...on another note...

The GMH IS slightly smaller in size compared to the MR Proto and MR both....by 1" in circumference(have a GMH sitting here and a MR), going by diameter is nice but some of the helmets are from the same linages but different generations. And shaped slightly different.

no problem! Yes they are very similar in size but different in areas. Once my GMH arrives I have a MR Proto which I'm going to compare and go more indepth with it.

My bad only had one 1st gen sgtfang in my hands. Haven't had a chance to handle a MS3 yet...Thanks though for the info it'll help.
