Helmet Sizes

Geeza

New Hunter
Hi Guys, a noob here about to attempt my first paint job.
The forum has been amazing so far with paint lists (some of the colors were a nightmare to get here in Japan).

Im going to order my helmet kit within the next few days and was wondering if you guys can point me in the right direction for the smaller fitting lids?

ive done some research on here and have found some info mentioning that certain makers lids are towards the bigger sizing. So I was wondering if you guys can shed some light on the sizes on some of the kits?

Regards

Yes the GMH is smaller as is Bobamaker. I have one of each and they both noticeably smaller than the FP budget that I have.

What is your height/weight body build dimensions? The members of the forum here could probably point you toward the right size helmet with that info.

Hi thanks fir the help so far. I'm 5,10 and 65 kg very slim fella!!!

I am also 5-10 185 lbs, with an athletic build, and I am able to sport any of the helmets. I wear an Asok Jango with my Jango Fett kit and it fits fine. There isn't a ton of extra room but it works well for me. I would say unless you have a very long neck the GMH and Bobamaker would work great. I think you could probably get away with the Asok FP budget kit too. It is a bit larger but still workable for your size. If you have a long neck, and there is nothing wrong with that we are all made different, then I would probably go with the larger helmet like the Asok FP budget just for the little extra length.

Once you are in the kit the length between the bottom of the helmet and the collar becomes more noticeable. And the armor is going to fill you out even if you are a thin guy. Not to mention if you need to you can always add a little padding to the armor to beef up a bit.

But that's just my 2 cents.

At 5'10" you could definitely get away with most lids. I'd stay in the middle ground and go with the FP budget or FP premium.
Although I personally would recommend the FPH2 if you're going to go ESB paint up.

would 6' 185 lbs? average build make any difference?

Personally, I'd go for as small a helmet as you can stand. Otherwise, you get too much of the Bobblehead look.

There is a helmet sizing comparison thread on the board that details the dimensions of the more common Fett helmets out there.

The GMH is one of the smaller helmets, as is the FPH2 I believe.

Not so much ...

The GMH is the smaller (on left). FPH2 on right.
