helmet padding

don't pad it dude, you'll sweat like a pig (unless you live up north somewhere) just install a hard hat liner and a few fans. the liner fits to your head better opposed to being a "bobblehead" fett with padding

I live in Las Vegas, 125ºF/52ºC summers. Padding works great for me. I go down to Joanns fabric store and buy some seat padding foam, 1".

I started out with padding, then went to Hard Hat Liner. I hated the Hard Hat liner, the padding is extremely comfortable.

I started with a Hard Hat Liner and move on to padding...never regretted it since. And I live in hot humid Singapore. :) To each their own I guess. ;)

Here's an idea on how I did up mine...apologies but the shots were taken to show the visor setup.

Good luck!

see, i had the exact opposite experience. my foam padding holds the helmet perfectly in place... someone can even whack me in the head and it doesn't move.

the hard hat liner just never sat right.

mine is foamed all around the top, sides, brow and even the back of the helmet.

Did you do it yourself of buy it pre-made??:cheers

I've got friends that put in motorcycle helmet liners in their RC helmets and they worked great. I just got in a set of the helmet liners from another thread and I can't wait to install them and see how secure they hold the helmet. If set in right I'm thinking they should hold it about as secure as a baseball batting helmet.

My liners work great unless you have a large melon, and a small helmet:)

I have seen them put in rubies, and FPH, and most have fit.

But if your not in to 'replica' the 75 bucks for interior foam electronics is overkill.
