Helmet for the Newbie

Hey guys! I'm am totally new to this, and have no idea where to start. I just found out about the 501st, and I want to do it. So I guess I should start with the helmet, so could anyone help me out and tell me where to get one? Thanks.

You'll find an amazing amount of info here at TDH. There are a few reputable vendors who sell great helmets! Make sure you do some research before you settle on one. And make sure you ask around before buying something from "that big well-known auction site." There are some shady characters whose products range from so-so to junk.
