Helmet Interior

I was thinking about the helmet i was going to buy and I don't know whats inside. I don't want to be uncomfurtable at conventions. I was thinking I'd buy a millitary helmet pad. I know a site that sells them for cheap. I'd appreciate your ideas.

try a search for helmet interiors you should be able to get some good ideas.

Marrow Sun also sells a great foam interior based on the Riddell mini helmets.

Good luck

I don't think they're talking about the actual interior design, but the thought of fiberglass resin resting directly on your head or face.

If this is what your are talking about mandaloresa--I think most people use the interior strapping system from hardhats. Which the army surplus helmet may work just as well!

Ace Hardware sells hardhat harnesses for $3.00 works good it keep the whole helmet off your face and head. Then I put two fans near the bottom that pulls air from the botton up into the helmet.

I cant find it on newegg but its the same thing except I reversed the fan blade so the air come into the it instead of out.

Here is the interior of my Boba Fett Helmet.

I use a mix between high density chair foam from walmart and felt. Use the felt on the areas where you face rubs and the padding on the top and wherever the helmet is loose. cheap and works like a glove.

I use a liner from one of my helicopter helmets. It doesn't fill out the whole lid so I velcroed in some pads from a MICH helmet. Very comfortable. I also mole skinned the inside of the cheeks to prevent the fiberglass rub.
