 drvfett, I couldn't have said that better myself!
and to FP, I'm glad to see you're still here among the living - Welcome back! We missed ya' man!:D

I was told this was a fg recast of a DP Deluxe on the stand, by a very reliable source. The one on the right is my scratchbuilt metal jobby. The recast was the first ever in-person Fett helmet I ever saw. I made mine from the ref cd pics and a bit of guesstimating.

MMM, by making your helmet just using Ref pictures it turned out really accurate when compzred to the that Delux.

BF, that is a great idea. :)

Thanks, Defiler. Witnesses can attest that as cool and calm as I look in the pic, I was actually shaking like a leaf. Only two minutes before had I seen the DP Deluxe and compared the two.

After thinking about all the time in it, and the even longer set-up and planning, and always wondering in my mind if my efforts would be laughable or a waste of time, the only emotion besides WooHoo! I could muster was shock and shaking. Notice the thousand-yard-stare.

The only thing I can say is that I built this all scaled to the GI helmet I used as the crown. This supports my theory that the original possibly used a pull of the same. Had I used a crown of my own making, no doubt the helmet would have turned out radically different and laughable.

Isn't the "original ROTJ from the Lucas Archives" pictured there actually the damaged ESB stunt helmet that I know is in one of my books...Best Of The Lucas Film Archives I think it is?

It is a great idea -- I know I could have used a site like that when I first joined.

Cheers!

Thanks for the kind comments! The site now has a nice and friendly URL www.StarWarsHelmets.com, and I've updated the info under "real props" following your comments.

Any more info or photos then please lmk, I want to expand my sections on the Fetts (as per my new post)

Cheers

This was kind of time consuming to compile and format, so I hope this is what you were wanting to see. ;)

MSH = Movie Sized Helmet (no longer in production)

MH = Mystery Helmet (still a few available)

MLC = mlcallanta's Helmet (still available)

MSH2 = Movie Sized Helmet version 2 (currently not available)
Isn't there also an Aurora helmet? or is that the Movie Sized helmet?

::edit- names removed to protect the innocent::

I thought the Aurora was Cking's N15D helmet (very good, very rare), not MSH.

I stand to be corrected if wrong, but I'm pretty sure RS waxed lyrical about the quality and praised N15D's work.

 there's another bucket to add to the mix. Bit of an urban myth, but they are out there, quietly being brilliant.

Wow! Han Hunter you really know how to flatter someone. Thank you for the compliment. But alas all I did was throw some paint in the right order onto an MSH. I hope to do more soon. At least until after a little self imposed break (Dragon con).

Yeah, sorry man! :)

Daft of me to have ever thought you of all people would have made such a mistake, it's just that I've heard one or two people say they had "one of Natty's buckets", without mentioning that they were the MSH, so I thought they were seperate items.

And as I had only heard a couple of people mention it, I thought Natty had perhaps done a tiny run for a few mates and they were hugely rare.

Right then, were's that dunce's cap?
