Am I to only one that can't hear in there lid ? I do have bad hearing. Does anyone use something to help hear ? Hearing aid maybe ? Would that work in a lid ? Do they make something else that would work ?
I got a mic and solved my no one hearing me problem but my wife said she heard me say huh and what more than anything.
Thanks
;)

I don't think you should keep fish in your helmet. . . very unsanitary.

Oh hearing. Nevermind.

Unfortunately, I don't have any genuine advice for you. I have never
trooped in my gear. I've only worn it at home doing fittings so I don't
know how it would be in a noisy public environment.

Maybe one of those "spy ear" gadgets?

LMAO!!! hahahaha!

Ya know i was trying to figure something out something to help hear better in the helmet but havent come up with anything yet. I just lean in and try my best :/

Get good at reading lips, that's what I've done. I have rather poor hearing due to machinery so I know that feel.
Just lean towards someone when they talk to you and focus on their lips. Still can't hear them? Do the classic tap on the side of your helmet then shake you head, most people get you can't hear them too well :)

Thanks guy :cheers
I like the under $100 ones superjedi but my be to much. Size and hearing range. Going to call and see if something is in mono with a ear bud And volume control . Nothing on specs on the site
I think the first hearing aids were ear buds to box mic. I'll check on that to.
;)
:cheers

And twuggs u been here since 08 and first post ;) I'm honored :)

I have no problems hearing in my bucket. I intentionally don't have any foam or padding around my ears to allow them to vent heat as well as allow sound in. Do you currently have padding against your ears?

I have just a thin liner in my fpp. Same as my master replic. I can hear better in the mr ( its bigger so not to tight to ears ) . I've done construction , shooting , demo all my life (I'm 43) so don't hear to well not in costume :) lol

Have you tried any spy shops? Sometimes they have sound enhansers, you know, listening though walls and stuff.
I was going to try it too.
Good luck.

Well as far as I know there are some home made gadgets out their you can make yourself. Like a ''SPY EAR'' type of thingy with a receiving mini Microphone? They can pick up sound waves from like 15 to 20 ft across a room. I always wanted to rig and install one these gadgets into the rangefinder, so where ever the rangefinder points you can listen to the activity going on.. I would also suggest gutting them out from the casing and rigging the mic into one of the helmets ears..
