Got a good helmet BUT

New Hunter
I got a new helmet that is resin fiberglass, BUT I think it is too big for my little head. There seems to be a lot of room and very little of my neck shows. The base measures 9 and a quarter inches ear to ear. Anyone have any suggestions or do you think I could ask the seller for maybe a smaller size (which I did not think to ask).

Who is the maker?

Also the helmet should look a bit big if you are not in armor. You will be adding some padding inside the bucket to fit it to your noggin.

Do you have a pic?

That looks proportional to me. You just need to add padding. If you go with a smaller helmet, you will look like a pinhead. The size looks a lot different when all the armor is on.

Looks good to me too and that is a mighty fine bucket you have. All said and done once you add some padding in there for your head that will raise the bucket up more than likely almost a half inch which should be fine.

Yeah, what everyone else said. If you want to see what it can look like, fold a hand towel or something and put it between the top of your head and the "ceiling" of the helmet, and shoot a picture! Looks great so far.

Looks proportional and a nice, clean casting, too!

Thought I was the only wierdo that did the hand-towel trick.LOL!
Get's funny looks from the other half when she walks by the bathroom and sees me in front of the mirror with one on my head.

for my first troop i didn't have padding in my helmet yet so i had a hand towel up in my bucket too, lol! it's not great, but it get's the job done!

foam for window air conditioners its black and looks ok in the helmet if anyone looks at it you can cut it down to make it thinner if its to thick
