Anyone have any idea what vertical and horizontal scaling might be needed to scale Raf's ESB rear panel helmet templates onto the ESB FPH2 helmet? I'm ready to start stencilling the rear panels, but my old GMH templates don't quitefit. Just tying to save myself an afternoon of test fitting and using a bunch of ink from the printer...

What's the size difference between your templates for the GMH and the
size of the rear panels on the FPH2?

As an example only, say one of the rear panels on the FPH2 is 125 mm wide.
If your GMH-sized template is 111 mm wide, you have to scale it up. But by how much?
    111(x) = 125.
Divide both sides by 111 to isolate "x"

    125/111 = 1.126

Multiply 1.126 x 100 to get the percentage of scaling.

    1.126 x 100 = 112.6%.

    Hope that makes sense.

doesnt that formula only give percentage scale for width? Wouldnt you have to do length times width of both helmets then divide? Im about to start my paint up and im just wanting to make sure.

Yeah, algebra isn't my favorite, but it's really handy for scaling!

Bunicula, this method will work for scaling in one dimension--length (width) or height.
If the template needs to be scaled in both width and height, two measurements
    are needed.

Also, keep in mind that the scaling factor for width may be different than the scaling factor
for height. If that's the case, the template will have to be scaled with the "aspect ratio"
control unlocked. This can introduce some stretching or compression, so it's a really good
idea to keep some reference pics of the real helmet handy.

Are you using the old stencils or the new one? The new stencil is made to fit pretty well most of the helmets, but small differences may occur.
