Manuel! Gut werde ich der Onkel einer Affen der Website auf Deutsch sein und ich habe spricht Deutsch angezogen! I'm pulling your leg I used a translator program but I still cant read the site. Can you post a pic of the bottle? Matbe I can find a US supply. Thanks and the helmet is looking too sweet!

Does the type of masking fluid give you such good results or is it your technique? I have trouble keeping the fluid from creating "puddle" shapes (rounded instead of the jagged scraped look).

Great work! Can't wait to see the finale!

I guess it may be a combination of both. I don´t have experience with other maskign fluids as I always used this one and it works perfectly. The technique of brushing it on may be a point too. I use a very small brush that I have cut at the tip in 45°. this way I can put on very small points and bigger areas with the same brush. After I have put on the base form of a scratch, I use a latex brush and somethign very thin (e.g. a tip of a self propelling pen) to add some little edges and scuffs into the still wet fluid. This way you can achive the desired look for all the scratches. Just bobbles would look too simple and not authentic in my eyes.

Hope this helps bro!

That's what you need for the masking fluid. It's basically a "rubber brush". It's absolutely awesome, as it doesnt get stuck and clogged like a regular brush, and it's very accurate as far as where you want your strokes to go. Terminal Fett uses these (specifically the Angle Chisel 0 Soft).

Looking online ive found them...any tips on what types are the best all around to have? Dont really wanna buy a ton of them as theyre not cheap as with any nice brush

I really need to look into those rubber brushes! That would speed up my painting progress 10 fold. I currently just use a toothpick, and that can take forever.

I have been looking all over for these and can't find them in a store or online. Maybe I using the wrong key words to search. The helmet is looking great, I'm hoping to get the guts to start mine.
