First Build! Animefan Bucket WIP

TheCafeRacer

New Hunter
Hey guys!

Here is my Animefan bucket of which I am starting to paint. I got it a few months back, but had some issues with the visor area. I had sanded too much off of the visor area and have been fixing it with Bondo and elbow grease for the last month. It is not perfect, but it will suffice. I am going to hopefully finish a ROTJ set in the near future.

You can see how much I added with Bondo. I was overzealous with my sanding.

I had originally planned to attach the visor with Chicago screws, but after issues getting the visor to mount flush, I have decided that hot glue will work with my visor. If I ever need to remove it I will just use Isopropyl alcohol. I am getting the base coat of primer/paint down. I have done about 3 layers of primer so far, each with a bunch of sanding.

I chose this metallic paint/primer. With the amount of layers I am doing, I am hoping that any shallow chips will go through to this color. It is really rough textured, so I thing the paint will stick very well.

My paint collection for now. I still need a couple shades of green.

Wait... you painted the inside too ? huh.. never seen anyone do that except someone who gave it a layer of rubber material that you use for tool handles.
Any looking good so far!
You might wanna tape in some cardboard or similar in place of the visor as you paint to prevent the cheeks from spreading/warping and avoiding cracks in the material.
