Fett SERVO HELP !!

Hello All,
Well, it's getting closer and closer to Halloween where i'm planning to wear my Fett at LEAST 3 times. The last thing I need to do to "complete" my ROTJ fett is to get the Remote Servo for the Range finder to work properly. I have the Hyperdyne electronics parts and they are working just fine. The switches on my gauntlets, remotely move the servo up and down when activated with NO problems.
The problem that i AM having is a mechanical one. If any of you guys are using the remote as well, could you possibly send me some close-up pics of the area where the stalk feeds through the helmet onto the threaded nut, and also, what kind of substance are you "glueing" the SERVO wheel itself onto the nut with??
I have a Hollow stalk and Range finder to accomodate the blinking LED's in the RF. So when these wires pass down the stalk, through the helmet and out into the helmet (to connect to the hyperdyne board), they prevent an easy "glueing" of the SERVO wheel.
I hope this makes sense, and that someone has some good pics of their setup so that I can finish in time. That's guys!!!

I have spoken to Jimmy before actually, he's been a TREMENDOUS help and VERY knowledgable. He's actually the reason i've gotten this far!!!!

Paging Jimmy Buffett. . . Jimmy Buffett to this thread. ;)

I knew I somebody would be paging me about this one!:lol:lol::cheers

Anyway, if I understand the problem correctly, you are trying to get the LED wires into the helmet AND connect the servo to the stalk at the same time. It's a tough one, and I worked with TD-4242 on this one, and here is what we came up with:

First how to connect the wires. Check out this post I made where I show the wires running to the OUTSIDE of the stalk. That way the inside can be used to rig up the servo. Even though the wires can be seen in the last picture, the ear cap will cover them, so they will not be seen by the public:

Next how to connect the servo. The two substances I used were JB Weld (make sure you let this stuff dry) and medium-strength Lock Tight thread-locker (blue.) Here is the tutorial I made for putting this together:

Jimmy, Thank you SO much!! I really appreciate it. I saw those threads before, but couldn't find them again. You have once again moved my Fett forward and closer to completion. The man is a saint!!! Thanks bud. I'll post finished helmet pics soon.
