Fett Helmet History

Well, I have my just-released Making of TESB book. I'm hoping there are some new tidbits in there...

For the upper part of the chart, we know the Supertrooper had to have become Boba in time for the animated part of the Holiday Special to be created, even if the colours were still in flux. I was just listening to the Star Wars and ESB radio dramas recently, since I had no computer. Was the first time since they originally aired, for me. I know they were released in the same years as their respective films, but does anyone know when Brian Daley finalized the scripts? In the Star Wars one, I noticed something in the docking bay 94 scene where Han confronts Jabba in the film. Since the scene had been filmed wiht a human actor and cut, Daley re-named that character Heater in the radio drama, and he was Jabba's lieuteneant in Mos Eisley. When Heater tells Han that he'll put a price on his head so high he won't be able to go near a civilized system, in the radio drama, he also says "I might even hire Boba Fett to go after you". As far as I know, this is the first appearance of the name, and I don't know if Daley made it up, or had access to notes for "Star Wars II".

Has anything new come to light about the fate of the Pre-Pro 1 helmet? We know it almost certainly didn't become one of the others, as they'd have to fill the gash and add the dent -- and there were already five more for a single character.

Sorry to bump an older thread! So who sculpted the 1st Supertrooper helmet? The original for these 6? Do we know? If shipped to the US, does that mean the original was sculpted in the UK?

Apologies if I've missed the answer, but I have searched! :)

Thanks
Dex

No! The helmet and the armor was sculpted in the US then shipped to the UK to be casted and assembled then shipped back in the US.

Rafal, how do you know the sculpt was made in the US? Actually it makes no sense to have something shipped just for casting which is the most simple thing to do. Also, all the Boba Costumes (armour and everything) was made in the UK, I'm pretty sure the helmet was sculpted at UK.

You might be right. I saw on starwarshelmets.com how they sculped C-3PO and the CZ-1 at Elstree studio in the UK.
