My 11 year old and I are starting a custom Mando for him. We just finished this together. It is a Bradleyfett vac-formed kit. I did the masking part and he did most of the paint work. We did some layered and lots of topical paint. He did almost all of the topical damage himself. Next we'll get a black flightsuit I have been looking at on the net and start making armor. He is getting hooked at an early age.
