fan placement

has anyone besides me ever noticed that the right ear parts look like they are 2 pieces that go together ? i figured that maybe the bottom piece would slide down to open a vent , so that's what i did to my new J D bucket . then i put a fan inside to suck air in , and i tell you it works great , i can actually feel a breeze going across my face .in this pic you can see the fan inside the helmet and the " vent" piece is al the way down .

How does the piece slid up and down?

well , thanks . what i did was , cut a groove behind the bottom part , then epoxy a bolt to the piece . then i just use a wing nut that has a washer on it to tighten and loosen it . pretty simple , huh?...more pics .
