The “Eyes” Fett helmet colors

I’ve been looking around for info, been hitting up the hobby stores and what not.

Right now im having a hard time finding a close much less accurate color of green for the Eyes helmet.

Anyone have any options or ideas?

From what I can tell the color used to outline the "eyes" is a dark green maybe to the blue side.In the photo with the helemet being held the "eyes" seem to be a close color to the color of the arch on the side of the helmet.

I think that they used the same colours than ESB or PrePro 3 (both have the same colours), why change? with the Sandy, PrePro 2 and RotJ they never changed, so why they must change only the colours of one helmet.

IMO they used the same colours than ESB except the right ear that has a greenish blue (the left ear is all silver :p).

:cheers

The photo with the black background is from the "History of Boba Fetts Helmet".It is a image put together by a memeber here.Do a search here for it,it should be easy to find.
The other two photos were pasted from "Wookiedia".Their source of the photo there is listed being from the book titled "Aurra Sing : Dawn of the Bounty Hunters (Star Wars Masterpiece Edition) ".

I had another member here tell me it was kind of a mint green (Not going to say whom). I see your point and I agree with you, but I think it's a lighter color. Just need to figure out what color.

I think that this is only the light, a bad light can distort the colours, as you know, you can use the colour that you want, but think, if the PrePro 3 and ESB have the same colours and the PrePro 1 is related with these 2 costumes (Like all the Sandy's costumes are related and have the same colours) why to use another colours?

Please, see this pic, it looks the AoSW colours but without a lot of weatherng on the red and maybe on the green:

But you're the chooser ;)

I'd say that Brunswick Green is a good guess for the under cheeks. The dome could be German Field Gray, but it's hard to tell in those old photos. Good Luck!

I don't think the colors of this helmet are the same as on any other helmet out there. In no light does this helmet look even close to any of the others. That red is too bright to be the same as on the ESB helmet. I agree that the bluish color it appears might not be accuate to how it appears in real life and that is a lighting trick.

Thanks to the ref CD.

Even the red looks diffrent at times. But I cant see the ESB colors in that helmet. Then again ive been wrong before, many times.

A few more pics to kick around.

Most photos have a blue shift to them, and a lot of the pics from the SW chronicles have a green shift as well. It's still not perfect, but gives you a better idea of the color.

Well, in this pic:

The rest of the colors in that shot seem pretty close to what we are familiar with. Based on this, if I were to paint one, I'd probably go for a slightly bluer cast to the ESB colors.

Most of my colors are custom mixed on the fly by misting multiple rattlecans together. I'd probably hit it with a couple of layers of the blue I use on sandtrooper backpacks, mixed in with the sage and moss greens I usually use.

Ive noticed that, kind of like the old 70's picks. These days we are so used to clean pic's.

Any know where I can get like swatches for Modle Masters, Polly Scale, Floquil, Etc?

I cant see its the same as the normal green we are used to. If it were a trick of the light then the other parts of the costume would appear very different as well. As it is, it is only the lid and armour that appear different. IMO they are definately a blue/green as opposed to a green/blue.

I think the eyes look pretty close for placement?
But the pale green is still very ESB ish... maybe mixing with additional duck egg blue to get that green/blue hue? only MO.. :facepalm
