ESB Work in progress

New Hunter
I managed to get hold of a Fett helmet and decided to go down the ESB route. Below are progress photos.

Green, red and black painted on.

Photo below of helmet, Light beige applied to back, weathering relief pattern drawn on, then using Winsdsor and Newtons masking fluid the weathered area was masked off. Airbrushed the blue green mixture over beige area with masking fluid, then removed the masking fluid to this.

Below is where I am at now, which is in the process of painting the metal weathering, using the topical method as per Steve the Swedes Tutorial.

It looks fantastic!:) Keep us posted. Steve the Swede has definitely been an inspiration to a lot of us. What types of paints are you using?

Um Tony, that bucket is coming along fantastic. Your details and colors are looking great. Can't wait to see this one finished

Thanks for the positive replies guys :) I've used a mixture of paints, Model masters and humbrol. The paints I couldn't get (hard to source in the UK) I replaced with Humbrol following what Terminal Fett had posted up and mixed them until a close match was found.

Hopefully, I should have the Madibles finished this weekend.

Thanks

Tony

Thanks guys :)

More work this weekend, Mandibles nearly finished, then it's on to the left and right ears, lark grey on lower cheek, plus the fine detailing all over the helmet.

Thanks Paul, no joy yet with a stalk, have managed to source a dark green face shield. I also need to source some ear decals.
