WOW, that looks straight outta ROTJ!

Awesome painting there mate, you must have put hours of work into it. I cant wait to see it when its finished.

One problem though . . . .

. . .I'l be constantly nagging you for advice when my bobamaker helmet arrives :)

:D no problem dude! glad if I can help, shoot the PM's or post the questions, I'll be sure to reply.

Well I went to the local electrical store thing, and looked around for making the 12 V LED in the left gaunt work and for LEDs in the rangefinder...

well... it all comes down to soldering the stuff together...
Well.. atleast that's what the man at the desk told me. (I got this funny feeling he didn't want to sell me anything... might have been my hair or something, or I was insulting his high quality merchandise by using it on a stupid model thingy)

the 12 V LED can't be hooked to a battery because 12V batteries do not exist, mening I would have to buy an accu... and a loader... came down to 20 euros...

then all the wiring and ofcourse the tool for soldering it all together, wich was also 12 euros... then... the LED kits were there!! actually something that can be used instantly... 15 euros, all kinds of kits.

Ofcourse, I needed the soldering tool...

So, if I would have wanted to give that a try, I would have to spend 20+12+15... makes up for a bloody 47 euros and a very big chance of shortcircuiting all of it, as I have no experience with it...

Bloody hell... gonna ask my teacher at school if he's done this before or something. He might actually have some stuff laying around.

but for now... no LED's anywhere on my suit that actually work.

Not to take away from your ESB Bucket...BUT this one is turning out soooo much better....(y)

NOW get a Visor in that baby..
Great Work.:cheers

:) thnx spidey!

that's mostly because I painted my ESB using the relativly small ref pics of StevetheSwede's helmet at starwarshelmets.com

I got to the TDH image archive at a time where almost my entire ESB suit was allready done...
On this one, with exception of missing hte air brush etc, I can do it right from the start. :)

I'll install the visor when all of the paint work is done, aswell as all the real scratches and dents etc. I don't want to risk scratching the visor during the scratch dremeling... let alone getting paint spots over it...

the old one is up for sale though I guess, should anyone be interested ( no, I know not or people like you Spidey... my ESB sucks in comparisson to your stuff!!) But PM me then if your interested...

some small facts about the old thingy...

ESB Boba Fett bucket
-converted Rubies Jango Fett
-newly installed visor
-reworked RF ear-cap
-keyslots cut out (and has somethingies sticked behind it, I suggest upgrading)
-hat liner made out of sponges, easily removeable and therefore adjustable.

well the flash makes it look like it came from mars or something... but its really kinda nice though...

whadda ya think?

(edit: I'll try to make some outside shots soon)

Fantasitc work R_Boba . .I've been looking forward to seeing your finished helmet! You've almost convinced me to do a ROTJ myself, but I'l resist the temptation for now, or buy another bucket lol.

It must have been a real labour of love to apply all that weathering. He certainly looks like he's been round the galaxy a few times .. but that used look is what characterizes Star Wars and you have captured that feeling perfectly with your bucket.

I really like your costume display too. Is your suit complete or do you still have a few things to finish?

Great work and a real inspiration.

:D thnx people!!

well Welsh, it's almost done, as good as sort of say.

I need to make new gloves, but my bro isn't in a hurry to get the leather ones for me I want to use.

hmm... the LEDs in the rangefinder should arive within the next 2 weeks at my school...

Im gonna try my casting skills etc by making a replica of my own blaster (since it broke in 2) and then get the iron grip from my original and place that in between the 2 (what I hope to become) rubber parts, the main gun and the stock.

and I might... just might but I don't think so... repaint my knee armor, as those have ESB weathering...

then I also need toe spikes, but I'm no hurry with those...

and then some extra's I might do in the future like chest light display, lit up jet pack beacon etc.

I might also create a new cod and backplate if I get the hang of the fiberglas stuff etc... but that's a plan not suited for anytime soon.

Awesome work as always bud! I love the mannequin setup you got there, I wish I could do the same instead of leaving my costume in a bin on the floor!

thnx:) !!

and your costume deserves a mannequin... only ... these things are a pain in the whatever...

hulk hogans my god... I'm as fat as Jar Jar!!

so had to dremel alot, and not done yet :)

The helmet looks fantastic. (y)
I have seen your progress on the entire costume since you started and i must say you have created a masterpiece. A museum quality work of art in my opinion.

Well done. (y)

:cheers to ya.
