Alright got some more work done!! Back panels are complete and I will now be moving onto the key slots back trim and mandibles. I also got the visor section cut out and will be working on getting that mounted.

By using paint stencil templates which are masked then painted over, and then the masking fluid is peeled off to reveal the paint underneath. But there are others who draw the scratches by free hand with a pencil then paint it with a brush or use the masking technique. You can find most of the stencils in the Boba Fett Helmet and Armor categories.

Yep what Raf layed out are the exact steps I take when doing the lids and parts of the armor as well.

Well the mandibles are done next steps will to finish mounting the visor along with the right ear cap. Once done I will move on to the ears and get those done before I move onto the cheeks and dome. Any way on to the pics.

Alright got the upper cheeks done and have started on the lower cheeks and dome as well. I have also laid down the base colors for both of the ears. I hope to have this lid completed by mid next week and ready for shipment back to it's owner.

I'll echo the amazing job comments.... It is certainly in good hands.

Alright the lower cheeks and dome are done along with the ears. all that is left is to add Lucky31's ear decals add the kill stripes (which I will be working on tonight and tomorrow) and mounting the right ear cap and visor. I also have the range finder cap in primer awaiting a coat for flat black paint. Anyway on to the pics!!!

Thanks! I noticed you used the old version, which is good for the ROTJ SE helmet, but the new version is an accurate replica of the helmet used in Empire.

Got the kill stripes added and have also since added the ear decals to the lid.

You have been doing an amazing job.

How did you do the damage around the the left ear decal? Did you cut out the damage or did you mask over it somehow? I saw that earlier in the thread you already painted the ear. When I did mine I actually cut out the decal, put it in place and then worked the damage in around it.

Thanks Guys!! Clonecollector I use Lucky31's decals and they have the damage already cut out so for the most part it lines up fairly well.
