ESB helmet humbrol colors.

Hello gents,
I was just hoping to get some advice about the red on the mandibles of my boba fett bucket. This is my first time painting a helmet and I have been following some color guides as far as what colors to use. I have gone all humbrols and ive noticed that they seem a bit off It suggested green 78 but it appeared too forest green. I had to use a mix for the dome and cheeks and I still don't think it is where I want it. I used red 73 as instructed but it seems a bit light can anyone else give me their opinion as far as the coloring goes.
Thanks!

I posted this in another thread just the other day. It is really tough to judge the colors until they are all on the helmet. The #78 looks to light at first, but as the other colors go on and they all start to interact with each other they start to look right. I used a darker color on the dome originally because I thought the #78 didn't look right but I went back and repainted the whole dome with it and it looked tons better.

It is frustrating when it doesn't look right as you are applying it but in the end the colors work.

So I also have been wondering what peopl havehav used for a final clear coat. I have testors dullcote and read that many use that, but in reference pictures there appears to be somewhat of a shine to it. So I was wondering if anyone has had luck with a satin clear coat.
