Well-Known Hunter
Army has commissioned me to do a repaint on his recently purchased DP deluxe lid. This lid has seen some action with a few bondo spots reviled after the paint was removed, it also has been reinforced with fibergalss on the inside. I went through and removed the prvious paint job had have hit it with a fresh coat of primer. Tomorrow night I will hit it with the first layer of paint for this fully layed paint job.

Onto the pics.

Well did a little more work last night. I put down the base metal color that I use for the underlying scratch marks. So between tonight and tomorrow I will be tracing out and masking off damage and should be laying down the silver coat on Thursday.

Unfortunatly that is the way the dent is really soft. Yeah I am hoping my replacement lid from Chris will be showing up any day so I can get started on the paint for that one too. I got the silver coat put on today and will post up some pics later once the paint dries a little more. From here I will be spending the next few days tracing out and masking all the silver damage before I lay down the gray layer.

I have been really working on getting my templates redone as the dimensions for this thing are all over the place. I just about have everything traced out and should have it masked out by mid week with the paint going on then. In my process I mask out all the silver damage and then lay down the gray layer and from there I go section by section anding on top.

Alright Got the Gray down and removed the masking Fluid. From here I will go section by section so I will first finish off the two back panels and then from there I will do the front mandibles and the trim. I am going to put down a clear coat here and start working on the stencils fro the back.

On to the pics!!
